Privacy Policy
Last updated November 2, 2026
This policy explains what the Clutch Blocks game ("Clutch Blocks", "we", "us") collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and we do not sell your personal information.
What we collect
- Guest player account. When you first open the game we create an anonymous player ID and a random player name (for example "SwiftOtter42"). No email or name is needed to play.
- Game progress and scores. Your levels, stars, streaks, skins, settings and scores are stored on your phone and backed up to our game server so they are not lost.
- Optional sign-in. If you choose "Save your progress" with Google or Apple, we receive an account ID and the email address from that provider. We use it only to sign you in and restore your progress on another device. Other players never see it.
- Ads. The free version shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID, IP address and general device information to show and measure ads. Players we know are under 13 get non-personalized ads only.
- Usage and crash data. We use Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to see which features are used and to fix crashes (for example "a run ended", device model, app version, crash logs).
- Tester sign-ups. If you sign up on our Testers page, we store the email and first name you give us only to invite you to the Google Play or App Store test. We delete the list after launch, or sooner if you ask.
- Purchases. "Remove Ads" is bought through Google Play or the App Store. We never see your card or payment details.
What other players see
Your player name, your scores on leaderboards, your weekly rival and team results, and short preset taunts you choose to send. Nothing else.
Who processes data for us
- Supabase (game server: accounts, progress, scores), hosted in the United States.
- Google (AdMob ads, Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics, Google sign-in, Google Play).
- Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store), when you play on iPhone.
- Cloudflare (this website).
Children
Clutch Blocks is meant for players 13 and older. If the game learns that a player is under 13, it turns off analytics and personalized ads, keeps that player off public leaderboards, and does not offer account sign-in. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
How long we keep data
We keep your account and progress until you delete it. Crash and analytics data is kept by Google under their standard retention settings (up to 14 months).
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account any time in the game (Settings → Account → Delete my account) or by following the steps on our account deletion page. This removes your account, progress and scores from our server.
- Ads: you can reset or limit your advertising ID in your phone's settings, or buy Remove Ads.
- US state privacy rights (such as California): you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" for targeted ads. We do not sell personal information. Email us to make a request and we will answer within 45 days.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections. Each player can only read and change their own account data, and scores are checked on our server.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you in the game for important changes.
